Ensure proper alignment with power, cooling, and network infrastructure requirements. Hardware Configuration: Configure and reconfigure custom hardware setups based on R&D specifications. Maintain and update hardware with the latest BIOS/firmware/driver levels. Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing of custom hardware configurations for functionality, performance, and compatibility. Perform routine hardware diagnostics and repair/replace faulty components. Collaborate with engineering teams on physical tests like drive removal/installation. Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve hardware issues through systematic troubleshooting. Debug hardware failures and connectivity problems. Partner with R&D teams to address hardware-related issues. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of custom hardware configurations, including diagrams, instructions, and test results. Generate comprehensive reports on testing outcomes and issues encountered. Required Skills and Experience: Strong experience in hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in VMware integration, including switch configuration, storage debugging, and connectivity debugging. Knowledge of PCI cards, firmware upgrades, and infrastructure management. Ability to handle service outages, installation failures, and rack/stack/cable management. Experience with ESXi and data center requirements for VMware integration. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
