| From: ayush, Scalable Systems [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description: Teradata Infrastructure DBA with SOX Experience Location: Seattle, WA Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure DBA: Manage Teradata system backups, recovery, and security. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. Implement and maintain database security policies and compliance. Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of Teradata software. Support multiple Teradata systems, including independent marts and enterprise warehouses. Coordinate with hardware resources to ensure high availability and performance. Manage database changes, upgrades, and releases. Collaborate with end customers, Teradata, datacenters, and vendors. Forecast data, security audits, and user account management. Handle Teradata active system management, customer requests, and system allocation. Manage backup and recovery processes, including frequency, retention, and disaster recovery. Develop long-range disaster recovery plans. Conduct customer feedback surveys. SOX Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to SOX audit controls. Identify and address potential risks to maintain data integrity. Implement corrective actions to comply with financial and IT controls. Required Skills: Technical Skills: Strong experience in Teradata tools and utilities. Expertise in Teradata Database Administration. Knowledge of backup and recovery processes. Proficiency in system monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Experience in performance tuning and optimization. Understanding of SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Familiarity with PDCR and DBQL. Ability to write complex Teradata SQL queries. Experience in managing internal and external Teradata database security. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
