Job Notes (Must have):  Will be handling multiple projects. Need experience with Windows and banking products. Resources from JPM, Citi, Barclays, Bank of America  etc. 

Profile Notes:  Resource needs to be the proactive type. Ask for examples of taking charge. They don't need to have prior Lead experience, nor will they be a lead here but they are expected to speak with vendors directly, troubleshoot, handle issues and work with end users. Someone who has prior application ownership and not just level 2 support. Areas of short fall from previous candidates: a) Application ownership b) Vendor application experience c) Lead/Sr Expertise in troubleshooting skills d) Experience handling vendor/external applications. Note from Manager directly: NOTE: This role is the application support role in the Tech Ops area and we are looking for an application generalist who has extensive experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in application support, implementation with banking experience. The infrastructure knowledge is essential but not looking for the resources to work on Server builds or troubleshooting. Specifically Fin-Tech App Support this is not with the infrastructure or server team Windows environment 

Selling Points:  They expect this role to go full time. Reporting manager is very well respected and a pleasure to work for. Good exposure to many systems, won't get pigeon holed

Required Skills:

Advanced knowledge supporting applications in a hosted and\\or cloud-based environments.

Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor performance. Exceptional ability to provide front-end support to internal departments and web-based clients. Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them. 

Effectively and regularly communicates regarding matters that are critical to the team. Explains complex concepts clearly, using styles appropriate for the audience. Solid documentation skills to ensure Application support runbooks are updated with relevant information. 

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and ensure execution within required timelines. 

The ability to analyze systems and processes for opportunities to gain efficiency. Ability to solve problems at root cause rather than at symptom level. 

Solid understanding and working knowledge or Front to Back Core Banking applications (ex. Savings, Deposit, Loans, and downstream apps). Advanced integration fundamentals, including API, file based, SQL. Proficient knowledge of FIS, IBS, Loans, and document management systems. Understanding of network architecture and interacting with Infrastructure teams.

Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field. 

Minimum of five years related technical application support, primarily in banking and/or financial services. 

Preferred Experience:

Master's degree in a related field and banking background within the IT services department. 

Knowledge of interest rates swaps flows
