This one can go remote if candidate is very strong. Preferred to be in Chicago on hybrid (3 days a week, work from Discover office). Need Only Local IL Candidate.. Product Owner (Onshore) : Location - Chicago on hybrid (3 days a week, work from Discover office). Team need someone with Technical Background, someone who has been a developer or a Lead and then moved to being a PO so they can be the Technical Product Owner. Looks like they already have POs in the existing team but they arent Technical, so they need a new resource who can bridge the gap. This is the JD of the TPO (Technical Product Owner) Skills Required Understanding the Technology o Knowledge of software development, architecture, and Tech stack (ReactJs, NodeJs, REST APIs, API Integration, and data Security, Postgresql) o Bonus Points If You Have: Awareness of System Integrations (Okta, Salesforce, Dell Boomi, Activiti) Product Management and Agile Skills User Experience (UX) awareness Responsibilities - Build product backlog, prioritize its items to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and continuously keep it up to date. Hold meetings with the product team to continuously update product backlog. Ensure product features and processes align with applicable Discover compliance and risk management standards. Ensure product adheres to the highest quality standards, including releasing security patches not linked to customers. Participate in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the product team and ensure alignment with senior leadership. Create and/or maintains key product documentation (e.g., customer journey map, technical specs, process mapping, etc.). Identify and define key non-functional requirements (e.g., security, availability, performance, etc.) to achieve necessary product metrics. Define and execute strategic product roadmaps to build new products, enhance existing products, or improve performance. Interact and collaborate with stakeholders on key product considerations and aligns with product vision, features, and roadmap. Leverage customer insights, feedback, financials, compliance, and risk data to define product features and roadmap in partnership with other SMEs. Contribute to defining the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and responsible for delivering MVP/ features/user stories for delivery product roadmap; in-line with the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) of the greater product vision. Partners with business and technology groups to create technical Epics that are required to continuously optimize system components and underline infrastructure maintenance. Partner with Tech Anchors and Engineering teams to write down the technical stories in detail. Define and add BDD Test cases to the product. Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies. Build a culture of accountability and ownership by empowering the engineering team to make decisions as close to the work as possible.
