Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring data integrity, availability, and security across large volumes of data, including in transit and moving data. Your expertise will be pivotal in database mapping, application integration, and adhering to best practices in database management. Key Responsibilities: Design, Implement, and Maintain Databases: Develop and manage enterprise-level databases to ensure high performance, security, and availability. Manage Data in Transit: Oversee data migration and movement processes, ensuring efficient and secure data handling in transit. Database Mapping and Integration: Perform mapping and integrate databases with various applications to support business operations. Database Technologies: Utilize SQL and Oracle for querying, reporting, and data manipulation tasks. Azure Cloud Management: Implement and manage databases on Azure cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Adhere to Best Practices: Stay current with DBA best practices and emerging technologies to maintain cutting-edge database management. Backup Strategies: Use ESC (Enterprise Storage Configuration) to implement effective backup solutions and ensure data recovery and integrity. Data Encryption and Security: Secure sensitive information and comply with security policies by applying encryption techniques and data protection methods. Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve database issues, offering support and recommendations for performance enhancement and issue resolution. Skills Needed: Database Mapping and Application Integration: Proficiency in mapping data and integrating databases with various applications. SQL and Oracle Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL and Oracle database systems. Azure Cloud Services: Experience managing databases on Azure cloud platforms. Up-to-date Best Practices: Awareness of current DBA best practices and industry standards. ESC Backup Solutions: Experience with ESC as a backup strategy. Data Encryption and Security: Familiarity with data encryption methods, security protocols, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) practices.
