The position is a senior-level role within a highly technical team of employees and contractors responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting software services for the Network and Unified Communications (NUC) organization within Verizon's Global Technology Solutions (GTS) team. The focus will be on delivering automation and orchestration products using key open-source technologies and an agile mindset. The primary responsibility will be to transition more network functions to a self-serve model, enabling customers to build and manage their own environments independently. This will involve implementing new automation technologies, developing orchestration solutions, and updating legacy processes to support our infrastructure using agile methodologies. You will lead software development efforts within an assigned portfolio and provide subject matter expertise to network and application teams, engaging with our largest global network support teams. The role will drive the creation of automation throughout our complex environment by collaborating closely with various technical organizations and business portfolios to ensure the development, design, and delivery of the appropriate automation and efficiencies for our platforms.
