Note the preferred certifications in the job description. Knowledge of MuleSoft is also preferred which is the tool they use to load the data from Salesforce into other systems. So Salesforce => Informatica => MuleSoft => Receiving Systems. SALESFORCE DATA MIGRATION SPECIALIST - REMOTE The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (NYC TLC) is seeking an experienced Salesforce Data Migration Specialist for a 12-month contract role. This position involves planning, executing, and managing data migration projects within Salesforce environments, focusing on data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using Informatica tools. The role offers remote work flexibility; however, candidates must be located within a commutable distance from New York City for occasional office visits. What Youll Do Execute data migration projects for Salesforce using Informatica, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Develop and implement strategies to ensure accurate and efficient transfer of customer data across multiple Salesforce instances. Customize Salesforce objects, fields, and layouts to meet migration needs and streamline business processes. Integrate Salesforce with external systems and automate workflows using Informatica, APIs, MuleSoft, and other tools. Ensure data security and compliance with regulations (GDPR, CCPA) during all migration activities. Develop and execute test plans to validate data migration processes and document results. Collaborate with stakeholders to align data migration activities with business objectives. What Youll Bring At least 3 years of experience in database migration, with a focus on Salesforce applications and handling sensitive data. Proficiency in using Informatica (PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud) for data migration. Experience with Salesforce data import/export tools, SQL, ETL processes, and data integration. Strong Salesforce customization skills, including Apex development, Salesforce Flow, and Lightning components. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bonus Points For Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform Developer certifications. Informatica certifications (e.g., Informatica Cloud Data Integration). Experience with MuleSoft or similar integration platforms. Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices.
