Job Title: Senior Network Engineer Location : Jersey City (3 Days Onsite) Key Responsibilities: Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement network architectures, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and virtual private networks (VPNs). Configure and install network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues. Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and access control lists (ACLs). Monitor network traffic for security threats and vulnerabilities. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Network Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance and identify bottlenecks. Optimize network performance through configuration changes, hardware upgrades, or traffic management techniques. Implement network monitoring tools and systems. Network Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and standards. Document network changes and updates. Technical Support: Provide technical support to users and other IT staff regarding network issues. Assist in the deployment and configuration of network-related software and applications. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, etc.). Experience with network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, network operating systems). Knowledge of network security best practices and tools. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Certification in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) is preferred. Additional Skills (Desirable): Experience with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
