| Job Title: SQL Developer with Java Location: Pasadena, CA Local preferred Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data retrieval and manipulation. Develop and maintain Java applications that interact with SQL databases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform database schema design and modifications to support application changes and enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SQL queries and Java applications. Ensure database security and integrity, implementing best practices for data protection. Monitor and optimize database performance to meet application requirements. Document technical specifications, processes, and code changes. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to SQL and Java. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a SQL Developer with a strong understanding of relational database design and optimization. Proficiency in Java programming, with experience in developing and integrating Java applications with SQL databases. Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization techniques. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate. Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
