Job Title : Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid) Duration: Long Term (12+ months) Visa : USC or GC only Summary: The Senior SDET will work in a positive, professional environment where you will be responsible for testing applications to ensure the products meet the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities: Create, execute, maintain, and enhance test documents and testing scripts Perform detailed functional and regression tests Report, record, and re-verify defects Work with business partners to identify and resolve issues Requirements: 10 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from the service layer using REST clients. Proficient in programming concepts such as OOP in scripting languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript. Skilled in writing and maintaining automated API tests using Java, JavaScript, and Python with various open-source testing libraries like Cypress, REST Assured, etc. Experienced with one or more querying languages such as SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL, and/or NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.). Proficient in automating backend REST services, including writing custom functions using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Cypress, Ready API, etc. Familiar with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Circle CI. Capable of independently creating and maintaining automation test jobs using tools like Jenkins. Experienced with source code management tools such as GitLab, GitHub, AWS Code Commit, etc. Skilled in creating test reports from automation test runs using tools such as Cucumber Report and Extent Report. Adaptable to new tools and evolving technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in virtualizing services for test automation using tools such as Wire Mock and Mockito. Experience working in distributed Agile teams using agile frameworks such as SCRUM, SAFe, and XP. Solid experience performing manual functional tests, including knowledge of installation and configuration to set up testing environments. Experienced in data manipulation in databases for testing purposes. Financial industry experience is a plus, particularly in Equities, Options, Fixed Income, and Futures trading, and market data knowledge scenarios.
