Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Spark applications using Java and the Spark API. Optimize Spark applications for performance, scalability, and resource utilization. Implement data processing pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, and analysis. Perform data analysis tasks, such as data cleaning, feature engineering, and model building. Develop machine learning models using Spark's machine learning libraries (e.g., MLlib). Evaluate model performance and iterate on improvements. Integrate Spark with other big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Kafka, and NoSQL databases. Develop solutions for data ingestion, storage, and retrieval in distributed environments. Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Spark applications. Optimize resource allocation and utilization to improve application efficiency. Deploy and manage Spark applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Leverage cloud-based big data services and infrastructure. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Java programming language. In-depth understanding of Apache Spark framework and its components (RDDs, DataFrames, Spark SQL). Experience with data processing and analysis techniques. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and libraries (e.g., linear regression, decision trees, random forests, gradient boosting). Familiarity with big data concepts and technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, NoSQL databases). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their big data services is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills (Desirable): Experience with Scala programming language. Knowledge of distributed systems and parallel programming.
