Title - React Native Engineer Rate - $55/hr Location - Remote Visa - USC , GC , H4-EAD , GC-EAD Needed LinkedIn Financial domain experience preferred. End Client - FIS What you will be doing: Deliver mobile applications within the Digital domain, ensuring alignment with business goals, security standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement scalable, robust, and maintainable mobile application code that supports a wide range of financial services and functionalities. Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend developers, QA and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Support transition of Angular Ionic codebase to React Native. Lead by example: implement large and complex features quickly and with excellent code quality and ensure that critical customer-impacting issues are remediated with urgency. Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to developers to ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices. Provide feedback, as needed, on proposed third-party tools, frameworks, and APIs, considering factors such as security, performance, and scalability. Consult on continuous improvement / delivery initiatives in mobile application development processes, tooling, and automation to enhance efficiency, quality, and time-to-market. Act as a technical mentor to developers, contributing to a culture of learning, innovation, and excellence within the development team. Communicate complex technical concepts and technical decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including peers, team members, senior management, business stakeholders and external partners. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the FinTech sector, and incorporate changes into the mobile application as needed. What you will need: Extensive experience in developing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, particularly within the financial technology (FinTech) domain. Strong proficiency in React Native, Angular and Ionic Capacitor Deep understanding of mobile application architecture patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture). Experience in transitioning a codebase from Angular Ionic to React Native would be a huge positive. Knowledge of secure coding practices, encryption algorithms, and data protection mechanisms relevant to handling sensitive financial data in mobile applications. Scale the application to handle a large user base, considering various devices and network conditions. Familiarity with backend technologies, APIs, and microservices architecture, enabling seamless integration between apps and backend systems. Experience in performance optimization, scalability, and troubleshooting of mobile applications to ensure optimal user experience, reliability and responsiveness. Understanding of financial services industry regulations, compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS), and security standards related to mobile app development. Knowledge of financial products, payment systems, banking protocols, and industry trends, enabling the design of mobile applications that meet user needs and regulatory guidelines. Experience working on FinTech projects such as mobile banking apps, investment platforms, payment gateways, or financial analytics tools, with a focus on usability, security, and innovation. Ability to improve the technical skills of development teams, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and training on mobile application architecture best practices. Experience building a white label mobile application that is branded and released for multiple clients. Experience collaborating with India-based development teams Preferred degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar relevant field Deep understanding and commitment to software engineering principles and processes (e.g., Lean, Agile, DevOps) and continuous improvement through measurement. Nice to have: Demonstrates judgment and flexibility; thinks about issues and develops solutions that thoughtfully take the broader context into account - positively deals with a shifting demand for time, priorities, and the rapid change of environments. Takes an ownership approach to engineering and product outcomes. Action-oriented self-starter who can drive execution with a roll up the sleeves approach. Fullstack web development experience in React, Angular, and/or Node. Ability to quickly establish strong credibility with team members.
