| Data Architect Dallas, Texas (100% onsite) Visa- Only USC/GC or H4-EAD Important: This is a Sr level position. Candidates MUST have experience developing proof of concept in Data Bricks and Snowflake. Position Overview: We are seeking a hands-on, senior-level Data Architect Consultant with proven real-world experience in both Snowflake and Databricks to act as a key technical and strategic advisor to our partner. This role will involve evaluating their current data ecosystem and presenting Proof of Concepts (POCs) for both Snowflake and Databricks, helping them choose the best platform to address their challenges. Once the decision is made, this architect will take the lead in implementing the chosen solution, setting the technical direction, and driving the architecture build-out while additional team members are onboarded to assist.This is a highly impactful role for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges and enjoys working at the intersection of strategy and implementation. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and Advise: Assess Acqueon's data ecosystem, identifying areas for improvement, and offering architectural guidance in adopting either Snowflake or Databricks. Proof of Concept Creation: Develop and present compelling POCs for both platforms to key stakeholders, showing practical, hands-on success stories. Strategic Leadership: Act as a technical and strategic consultant, providing expert recommendations to influence platform choice and architecture design. Architectural Implementation: Once the platform is chosen, lead the design and implementation of the data architecture, working autonomously to execute and optimize solutions. Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure buy-in from stakeholders through clear communication and the ability to "talk the talk " with both technical and business leaders. Must-Have Skills: 10+ years of experience in data warehousing, cloud data architecture, data engineering, ETL, Big Data, and real-time data processing. Deep, hands-on expertise with both Snowflake and Databricks, including features like Snowflake's data sharing, zero-copy cloning, and automatic scaling, as well as Delta Lake, MLflow, and Databricks SQL. Ability to create and present high-quality POCs that influence executive-level decision-making. Proven track record in building, scaling, and optimizing data architectures. Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines using Apache Kafka, Airflow, and NiFi. Expertise in cloud services such as AWS Glue, Redshift, Amazon S3, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake Storage. Experience with data profiling, quality assessments, performance tuning, and evaluating data technologies based on performance, scalability, and cost. Strong skills in advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning workflow implementation. Qualification: BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field. Ideal Candidate: Experience as a consultant and/or technical advisor in cloud data architecture. Demonstrated ability to engage with high-level stakeholders and present complex data solutions persuasively. Ability to work autonomously and lead a technical build from start to finish.
