Position: Guidewire Solution Architect Duration of Assignment: 6-12 month contract (conversion or extension) Job/Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Solution Architect with extensive expertise in Guidewire Policy Center (V10 and above) to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience working with Guidewire products and possess a deep understanding of system modernizations and transformations for large insurance carriers. This role involves leading technical teams, designing policy transformation strategies, and ensuring the successful implementation of Guidewire solutions in alignment with architectural best practices. Key Responsibilities: Guidewire Policy enter Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of policy transformation strategies and roadmaps to achieve business goals. Provide technical leadership and oversight, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines and Guidewire best practices. Oversee the end-to-end implementation of Guidewire solutions, including Policy Center and Claim Center, ensuring successful project delivery. Integration & Modernization: Manage complex integrations and system modernizations for large insurance carriers. Collaborate with teams to facilitate the capture of requirements, design technical solutions, and resolve mismatches in technical requirements. Ensure successful integration with vendor products, monitoring, and logging solutions. Technical Leadership & Support: Provide mentorship and guidance to implementation teams and clients to optimize and enhance Guidewire solutions. Lead technical discussions, branching and merging strategies, and establish coding standards. Work closely with stakeholders to communicate dependencies, timelines, and project progress. Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure Guidewire solutions meet compliance and regulatory requirements, adhering to Guidewire best practices. Maintain in-depth knowledge of coding standards, DevOps processes, and the Guidewire platform, ensuring technical alignment with business needs. Required Skills: Guidewire Expertise: 12+ years of experience with Guidewire products, specifically PolicyCenter, with a focus on solution architecture. Proven experience leading Guidewire implementations and system transformations for large insurance carriers. Guidewire certified Professional/ACE. In-depth knowledge of Guidewire integration mechanisms, data models, rules, and configurations. Technical Leadership: Strong experience in guiding teams on modernizations, technical design, and delivery processes. Knowledge of coding standards, branching strategies, and best practices for Guidewire implementations. Experience in insurance suites with Guidewire and requirements refinement. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong team coordination skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes. Cloud & DevOps: Experience with public cloud platforms and awareness of Guidewire best practices for cloud deployments. Familiarity with DevOps processes, ensuring smooth deployments and continuous delivery.
