Design and implement CMDB models, attributes, and relationships to accurately represent IT infrastructure components. Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the CMDB lifecycle. Process Automation: Automate CMDB processes and workflows using ServiceNow's scripting capabilities (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts). Develop integrations between the CMDB and other systems to streamline data flow and reduce manual effort. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and accuracy. Implement data quality assurance measures, including data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation. Reporting and Analytics: Create custom reports and dashboards to provide valuable insights into CMDB data and IT service performance. Analyze CMDB data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks. Change Management: Manage CMDB changes and updates to ensure alignment with IT infrastructure modifications. Coordinate with IT teams to implement changes and document the impact on CMDB data. Troubleshooting and Support: Resolve CMDB-related issues and provide technical support to end-users. Stay updated on ServiceNow platform enhancements and best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications: ServiceNow Expertise: Proven experience with ServiceNow CMDB implementation and configuration. Strong understanding of ServiceNow's scripting languages (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts). Knowledge of ServiceNow's integration capabilities with other systems. ITIL Framework: Familiarity with ITIL best practices, particularly in the areas of configuration management and change management. Technical Skills: Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle). Knowledge of IT infrastructure components (hardware, software, networks). Understanding of IT service management processes (incident, problem, change, and configuration management). Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
