Position: CDN Platform Engineer Location: Buffalo Grove, IL (On-site ) Duration: 6+ months Mode of Interview: Video Job Description: Well-rounded Senior/Lead software platform engineer with expertise in CDN (preferably Fastly), VCL (Varnish Configuration Language). The ideal candidate will be managing highly scalable CDN platform (Fastly) and will also be ensuring seamless flow of requests through VCL configurations. Collaborates with Product Owner to translate feature requirements into sound, creative implementations that effectively weigh business and technical tradeoffs. Continuously learns, adapts to challenges to solve the problems. Should be highly adaptable and flexible with working hours. Should possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities : Works with a cross-functional team, uses agile practices, writes, and delivers/maintains code and CDN platform. Actively participates in discussions with stakeholders from Product and Teams. Strong problem-solving skills are needed and should be able to work independently. Should have deep technical expertise in key functional areas. Experience : 6+ years of IT/Digital software development experience in Java/JavaScript/UI and UNIX background. Should have expertise with Fastly/VCL for day-to-day CDN needs. 3+ years of experience with terraform for automation needs. Should have profound experience in Nodejs/Python(preferable). Must have very good understanding of the networking for troubleshooting and handling CDN activities. Good Understanding of CICD pipelines and Version controls (GitOps). Experience with agile development required, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experienced preferred.
