Role: Kubernetes Solutions Architect Location of work: Hybrid in Austin, TX Duration: 6-12+ months. NOTE: If selected for this position, you are required to perform ALL work within a commutable distance of your assigned Worksite Location. Three days a week onsite, Tues, Wed, Thurs, with Monday and Friday being remote Responsibilities: Senior Solution Architect will drive and provide high level solution implementation of AWS Cloud Architecture (cluster / Kubernetes cubes) Gather requirements, understand the specifications, evaluate, and working closely with stakeholders to deliver the right solution. Continually improve CI/CD tools, processes and procedures. Write tools and applications to automate work. Required Skills: AWS Certified -required Kubernetes Certified - required Python Scripting 5+ years experience Senior Solutions Architect with 3+ years experience in architecting Expert knowledge of AWS (EB, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, Kubernetes, EKS, CloudFormation, etc). Strong Operational Experience in Linux/Unix environment and scripting languages: Shell, Perl, Python. Experience working with server clusters consisting of 100s-1000s of machines, and deploying changes with zero downtime A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather than do everything by hand. Familiarity with Splunk for investigating or monitoring problems on systems. Knowledge and experience with Software Version Control systems: SVN, GIT, etc. (Git and GitHub/Gitlab knowledge is a plus). Knowledge of Java build systems and tools including: Maven, Gradle, Ant, SBT, etc. Knowledge of WebServers and LoadBalancers Apache HTTP Server, Apache Traffic Server, Nginx, HAProxy. Solid experience in trouble shooting, debugging, and performance measurement. Self-motivated, pro-active and solution-oriented individual.
