Role: ETL/IBM infosphere Datastage Developer Location: Jersey City, NJ (Locals Only) Duration: Contract Experience: Minimum 10+ years Role Description: Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement ETL solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage. Extract, transform, and load data from various source systems, ensuring data quality and accuracy. Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand business requirements and translate them into effective ETL processes. Create reusable ETL components and ensure optimized performance of the ETL processes. Monitor and maintain existing ETL processes, resolving any issues that arise. Perform data validation and troubleshoot data issues related to ETL processes. Optimize data transformation processes to meet performance requirements. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes and workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data sources and streamline data flow. Implement data governance and ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies. Participate in performance tuning and optimization efforts of ETL jobs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 3+ years of experience in ETL development using IBM InfoSphere DataStage. Strong knowledge of data integration, data warehousing concepts, and ETL best practices. Proficiency in SQL, databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL Server), and data modeling. Experience in data profiling, data cleansing, and performance tuning. Familiarity with other ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS) is a plus. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) is an advantage. Ability to work with large datasets and design scalable ETL solutions. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
