Position: Data Architect Duration: Long Term Location: Washington DC, San Diego, CA, NJ Hybrid: 8 days/month in office Job Description: Responsibilities: Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications. Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product. Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility. Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards. Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team. Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design. Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers. Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc. Approve final product before launch. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field. Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, Java etc.) Knowledge of software and application design and architecture Knowledge of UML and other modeling methods Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design Work with application, architecture and data protection teams to design data localization/data sovereignty solutions. MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important): System Architecture, Data Architecture, Solution Engineering, Data Base Administration System analysis DESIRED SKILLS: Data security / data protection Cyber security risk assessment Full stack software development Data/System Architect Documentation EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architect Proficient in SQL, Python, and data scraping techniques. Strong understanding of Data Security and Corporate Security policies and regulations. Excellent documentation skills, role requires technical documentation of architect solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
