In this role, you will focus on building and managing our FedRAMP-authorized cloud infrastructure for U.S. Federal Government projects. As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, youll work on a team that is developing a secure and compliant SaaS platform for federal government-led construction projects. This involves designing, deploying, and configuring cloud-native services and infrastructure in a dedicated environment that meets FedRAMP Moderate level controls. Your work will directly support my clients strategic initiatives for 2024 and 2025. Join them and contribute to a mission-critical platform with wide-reaching impact! This position reports to the Runtime Platform Software Architect and is fully remote within the U.S. My client is looking for someone to join them immediately. Responsibilities: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to design, deploy, and document cloud infrastructure resources for our SaaS platform in AWS GovCloud. Ensure compliance with FedRAMP Moderate level controls throughout the infrastructure deployment process. Use infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform to automate the deployment and configuration of cloud databases, data lakes, and streaming systems. Deploy and manage technologies such as Debezium, Apache Flink, and Kafka in a secure, highly available environment. Engineer robust and resilient cloud systems that support 24/7 operations with 99.95% availability. Build and test disaster recovery systems to ensure infrastructure and data resiliency. Requirements: U.S. Person status is required (Citizen & Green Card Holder), due to the nature of accessing federal environments and protected data. 6+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure in a moderate-to-large-scale environment (>1000 hosts, petabytes of data). Extensive hands-on experience with AWS data services including RDS Aurora, ElastiCache, Managed OpenSearch, S3, and MSK. Proficient with cloud infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and Terraform. Experience with deploying and configuring data streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, Flink) and managing highly secure environments. Familiarity with cloud observability, logging, and monitoring tools. Strong programming skills in one or more common languages like Python, Golang, or Ruby.
