This role will be mainly new development for billing applications along with enhancements and defect fixes for billing and compensation applications. 80% of the work for this role is new development with 20% being enhancements and fixing defects in the application. Duties: Provide design & development on backend and frontend development using Java and Agular. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable backend services using Java and related technologies. Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with databases and third-party systems. Provide enhancements and defect fixes of existing Java-based applications Work on project teams throughout the software development life cycle Complete thorough unit testing & webservice testing (Postman, SoapUI, Junit, etc) Integrate with web services and APIs to extract and transform data using XMLs Exhibit strong troubleshooting/incident resolution skills & assist in implementation of security best practices, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Create comprehensive technical documentation Required Skills: 5+ years overall software development in Java 2+ years of experience with UI development using Angular Experience with XML schema, parsing, creating, and defining XSLT/XPath experience Java, Spring, experience developing REST services Experience with unit testing & webservice testing (Postman, SoapUI, Junit, etc.) Must be familiar with databases, such as DB2/Oracle, or SQL Server Must have experience with server technology such as Windows & Linux servers Must have the ability to provide application support, including responding to support after business hours when needed Preferred Skills/Characteristics: Experience with highly multithreaded applications Experience with IntelliJ, Eclipse or VS Code IDE using GitHub Repositories Experience with Maven and Spring Framework Experience with SQL Server for data access Experience applying XSLTs to transform XML data and files Knowledge and experience in Spring Boot, DB2, CSS, JavaScript, XML Spy Professional self-starter who is clever, innovative, and able to work independently as well as with a team Keywords: user interface Java Developer || Remote || Need BORN USC [email protected] |
