We have an urgent requirement for Mid-Level Desktop Support with Travel position with our client.

Description

This position provides hardware and software support for equipment at Correctional Facilities throughout the state.

Duties 
Review support request. Under direction from OITS staff and DOCCS Education, prioritize request and schedule travel to perform in person support and maintenance throughout New York State.
Travel to DOCCS Facilities to perform replacement of PCs, troubleshooting Academic and General Business labs, installation and training on Windows Servers, PCs and Thin Clients as needed.
Complete travel authorization and voucher forms. On days not traveling, consultant will be asked to answer support calls and document issues within a trouble ticketing system.

Mandatory Requirements 
Experience (7+years)
Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.

Requirements 
This is an 100% Onsite
48 months of experience in general computer repair or troubleshooting
24 months of experience in Active Directory configuration, management or troubleshooting.
Minimum of 36 months of experience troubleshooting or installing PCs in LAN configuration with at least 20 networked devices.
12 months of experience working within a secure facility setting.
24 months of experience in a position that required travel at least 50% of hours worked.
24 months of experience in a position that required direct contact with end users or customers at least 50% of hours worked.
CompTIA A+ Certification of equivalent
12 months of experience developing training programs and documentation or performing face-to-face user training
