| We have an opening for a IoT Edge Platform Engineer. Start date is ASAP and will last for 6+ MONTHS. 4 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS - Georgetown, KY; Plano, TX; Huntsville, AL; Greensboro, NC - All expenses paid as incurred. 3 days per week onsite, which is why proximity to ONE of the locations is important. Travel will be required to the final go-live site for 2-3 weeks at some point, but those expenses would be paid. Any visa is fine Temp to perm Skills (EXPERT/ADVANCED/NONE): Rust or C, with system level programming MQTT with SparkplugB Docker & Kubernetes Timeseries Databases and/or Process Historians Questions: Do you have experience with Rust for system level programming to deploy, configure, monitor systems Do you live in (or can relocate to) one of: Georgetown, KY; Plano, TX; Huntsville, AL; Greensboro, NC Do you have experience with Orchestration and Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes Description: Responsibilities: Supporting onsite leads with development, configuration related to... - Data Broker (MQTT) Configuration, Deployment, Management - Timeseries Historian (e.g. Canary, InfluxDB, Timescale, etc.) Evaluation/Selection, Development, Configuration, Deployment, Management - Operations Hub (AWS) Development, Configuration, Deployment, Management Deliverables: 1. Design and Implementation of Timeseries Historian solution 2. MQTT Broker on Kubernetes: Configuration and deployment in high availability environment 3.
