From: Samir Priya Darshan, Netonics Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] The Senior Network Engineer Wireless and/or Cisco WebEx SME is to provide high level network engineering design, installation, and support expertise across the full lifecycle of the systems, services, and solutions. This primary focus will be primarily Wireless, Cisco Webex, along with the following to a lesser degree Palo Alto, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN - both on-prem and cloud-hosted. The position requires strong problem-solving, analytical and communications skills as well as deep knowledge of the technologies used. The Network Engineer will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the Network Administrators in an environment that fosters cross-training and voluntary knowledge transfer. Responsibilities: Work with internal and external third parties, i.e. software and systems engineering teams to understand and implement technical requirements. Document design, implementation, and final configuration findings for both new and existing techniques and equipment. Provide support for incidents and service requests. Resolve Network issues; complete audits; identify trends; determine system improvements; implement changes. Escalate problems to vendors and/or senior management for resolution. Create and manage problem tickets with vendor. Contribute to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; design cost-effective networks which follow industry best practices. Develop network design and operational objectives by designing and engineering, evaluating, recommending, formulating, testing, and implementing plans for current and new technology. Maintain a healthy network with monitoring and evaluating network availability, utilization, throughput, and latency to mitigate and prevent future issues. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation Provide on-call and critical incident response 24 x 7 x 365. Support occasional night and weekend activities. Participate in the on-call rotation. Travel up to 20%. Qualifications: Must possess strong working knowledge and experience in design and implementation for data networking, routing, switching, subnetting and segmentation in a large, multi-site (100+) enterprise network with a keen focus on security, availability, resiliency, and performance. Aruba Wireless Hardware, Software Upgrades and Lifecycle Management is required. RF Planning (Aruba AirWatch). Wireless Configurations and Standards. Wireless documentation and diagraming skills. Wireless Authentication experience is required. Aruba ClearPass Configuration and Management. Client Certificates and 802.X protocols Single SSID On Ramping experience Cisco Webex Suite with Webex Calling, Messaging, Meetings, Control Hub Hands-on knowledge for the following: Cisco Routers-Switches Palo Alto networks - physical and virtual (VMware, Azure, AWS) Panorama advanced configuration (Multi VSYS, Multi-Layer, Device Group, Dynamic Objects / Tagging, IOT Device), IPSEC and Global Protect. VMware VeloCloud, NSX Network virtualization, AVI Load Balancers Azure Cloud Networking Network automation to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot network components (routers, switches, load balancers, VoIP gateways, Session Border Controllers) Strong communication and organizational skills a must. Ability to triage technical issues and problems a must.
