Role: VMWare System Admin Location: Denver, CO or Kansas City, KS (Only Locals) Duration: Contract Experience: Minimum 10+ years Role Description: Responsibilities: Manage and maintain VMware vSphere components. Manage virtual machines, including creation, deletion, cloning, and migration. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues. Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Assess and forecast resource utilization. Optimize resource allocation and performance. Manage and apply patches and updates. Implement security best practices. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages. Develop and maintain automation tools. Collaborate with IT teams to support business needs. Provide technical guidance and support to end-users. Qualifications: Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere components. Experience with virtualization concepts and best practices. Proficiency in scripting languages. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of networking and storage concepts. Experience with cloud-based virtualization environments is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. VMware certifications are preferred. Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation or other hybrid cloud solutions is preferred. Knowledge of containerization technologies is preferred. Experience with automation tools is preferred. Understanding of security best practices for virtual environments is preferred.
