| Position -: Quality Assurance Contractor (NCR/Aloha Testing Expertise Location -: Remote Type -: Contract Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled IT Quality Assurance Contractor with specialized experience in testing NCR/Aloha POS (Point of Sale) systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of testing methodologies, quality assurance practices, and hands-on experience with NCR Aloha products. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, functionality, and performance of POS solutions while working closely with development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute test plans and scripts for NCR/Aloha POS systems. Perform system integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system integrity and performance. Collaborate with development and business teams to understand product requirements and define test strategies. Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools. Ensure compliance with established QA standards and provide input on potential improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing, ensuring timely resolution. Provide detailed reporting on test results, coverage, and defect resolution. Validate system performance and ensure smooth deployment of software updates and patches. Support production deployments, ensuring proper testing is conducted in live environments. Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in IT Quality Assurance, with specific expertise in NCR Aloha POS testing. Hands-on experience in testing POS applications and integrations (specifically NCR/Aloha platforms). Strong knowledge of testing tools and methodologies (manual and automated testing). Proficient in defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. Experience with POS hardware and software troubleshooting is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with restaurant or retail industry POS systems. Knowledge of NCR Aloha system configurations, setups, and updates. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
