Role: Mid-Level Tester Location: Albany, New York Duration: 20 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 9837 Client: NY State Payrate:33/hr on C2C Description The Mid-level Tester will assist in development support and maintenance of COVID-19 applications used for preparedness response in emergencies. The incumbent will provide testing support for various Emergency Preparedness applications undergoing updates with primary focus on Countermeasure Data Management System (CDMS) used for COVID-19 rapid test scheduling and COVID-19 vaccine administration, but also supporting other relevant applications including Incident Management System Dashboard, Medical Emergency Response Inventory Tracking and other grant-related applications as needed Duties The Mid-level Tester will assist in daily review and testing of applications. The Mid-level Tester will identify discrepancies and work with DOH staff to resolve issues. The Mid-level Tester will develop test plans, scenarios, and test cases which will exercise the business, functional, and technical requirements of the system; develop test data for use in executing the QA phase of the software development lifecycle; identify and log technical and functional software defects; keep up to date with standards and requirements of software quality assurance as stipulated by software testing authorities. Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following: Develop and maintain user and technical documentation. Test implemented technologies and record results using standard testing strategies including artifacts such as test strategy, test scenarios, traceability matrix, functional test plans, defect management and user acceptance test plan with entry and exit criteria Review release notes with each build for accuracy and completeness Mandatory Requirements Experience (7+ Years) Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 48 months experience working as a lead or senior information technology tester 48 months testing functional, technical, and performance testing 48 months developing and performing quality testing, with the ability to identify data quality issues at the business level and support the creation of data quality rules. 36 months experience performing defect management 36 months experience with creating and executing test plans, scenarios, and test cases. 12 months experience creating automated testing scripts.
