| Job Title Java Developer Rate Location Job Description USC & GC Client - BNY Mellon 77492-1 - Application Developer II Rate Reason for Need Replacement request on Ginnie Mae-funded project Visa USC & GC Business Sector ISSUER SERVICES ENGINEERING Position c2h Work Location 500 Grant St, Floor 28 Pittsburgh, PA Onsite Expectations 100% Remote Hybrid - Majority Remote Hybrid - Majority Onsite Hybrid - Majority Onsite Work Schedule 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Assignment Duration 12 Months Likelihood of Extension/ Conversion to FTE Goal is to convert to FTE during the assignment Job Description Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in software development required with WebLogic Portal and J2EE technologies Experienced in 3-tier, n-tier, cloud computing, microservices architecture Must have Hands-on experience with Angular, NgRx, RxJS, and micro-frontend 3+ years of Hands-on experience designing and developing microservices using Java/Spring Boot, Node.js 3+ years of relevant experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, GraphQL, and Swagger Must have hands on experience in writing RESTful webservices using Spring/JAX-RS Experience development using agile methodology using CI/CD pipeline Develop and build microservices leveraging AWS Cloud Services Must have Spring Portlet development experience Must have good working knowledge of HTML, Ajax, JQuery, JavaScript Must have working experience with SVN/GIT or with other equivalent source control systems Must have experience with Oracle RDBMS. Exposure to PL/SQL is a big plus AWS Cloud development experience and AWS Developer Certification highly desired Experience with WebCenter ADF Framework and Remote portlet configurations with WebCenter Spaces/Portal is a plus Experience supporting and/or implementing complex integration projects Must have working experience as part of a large team with ability to work independently Experience configuring Web service security policies is a plus Experience with secure coding practices Good to have exposure to SOA suite middleware Excellent communication and presentation skills Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. Includes hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance, or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations. Lead Developer provides application software development services or technical support in situations of moderate complexity. May also be responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. Has thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Conducts reviews of the test Plan and test Data. Writes new programs of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic application system designs and specifications, utilizing BNY Mellon's standard development methodology, procedures, and techniques. Designs and codes programs and creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and revise programs. Prepares the final and detailed versions of system modification requirements, ensures turnovers are done on time and correctly. Interfaces with architects to design, code, test, and implement application programs. Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems. Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions. Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives. Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, software development, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus, should have thorough knowledge of the software development cycle.
