The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to load data from various APIs into our Oracle Data Warehouse. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Informatica (PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud), Oracle databases, and API integration. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica to load data from APIs into an Oracle Data Warehouse. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various API sources (REST/SOAP) into structured formats compatible with the Oracle Data Warehouse. Develop scripts and automation using Python or .NET to support custom data processing tasks and enhance API interactions. Experience working with JSON files and converting them into csv/text files as needed Design and implement data pipelines, ensuring high performance, data accuracy, and optimal performance. Apply business rules to clean, transform, and aggregate data as needed before loading into the Oracle environment. Optimize ETL performance, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure data consistency and accuracy. Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and database administrators to understand data requirements and provide efficient solutions. Strong understanding of dimensional data model concepts needed to optimize data analysis, BI tool functionality, and ETL development. Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Should be a strong team player and be willing to mentor other Developers on the team Perform unit and integration testing of the ETL processes to ensure the integrity and reliability of the data. Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to ETL processes, API integration, and Oracle Data Warehouse schemas. Monitor and manage ETL jobs to ensure successful completion and troubleshoot any errors or failures. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud. Proficiency in Oracle databases: Strong experience in developing and optimizing queries, PL/SQL, and stored procedures. API Integration: Experience working with APIs (REST, SOAP), including extracting and transforming API data into warehouse-ready formats. Familiarity with JSON, XML, and other data interchange formats commonly used in API data exchange. Performance Tuning: Demonstrated experience in ETL optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries. Experience with Python/R/.net scripting. Experience with Unix/Linux scripting for job automation and scheduling. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
