Must have experience with AWS core services, including but not limited to; EC2, EKS, S3, Lambda, EMR, IAM CloudFormation, and Terraform. Must have experience using Jenkins, Helm, and Atlassian suite. Preference for Snowflake, Dremio, Talend, and/or Attunity Our team is the level 2 operations team. 70% of the time, we interact with our customers and do deployments for them in AWS. Once in 2 months (10%), we do production support, which means any incidents within the platform as our platforms are very stable now, we won't assign any work to others. However, if production support work is required 40% of the time, we would assign it to someone else. We have a DevOps team which is doing automations. As of now, we do manual deployments in AWS and there is CICD development happening by the DevOps team using Jenkins, Ansible, Python and Groovy. Our goal is to mimic that team. Once they do the major deployment, we would take it from there and manage/enhance those pipelines. My goal for this team is moving from a manual effort team to enhancing the automations. We would like a person who would join to support the customer deployments and do automations work. One of the FTEs is on a long leave and we need this candidate to support us. Looking for a Senior level person with good communication as there will be a lot of interactions with customers. 8+ years of IT experience and 4+ years of relevant experience should be good. 20% work will be between 09:00 - 05:00. 80% work will be off hours. Weekend support will be once in 2 months. Programming languages: Python, Ansible and Groovy Regular AWS technologies, basics of CFTs (We don't use that much of CFT. The other team develops it and we execute it). We are a technology/platform team. Technology is more important than experience with financial companies. The interaction will happen with internal customers. Basic knowledge of JIRA and Confluence. Jenkins experience is a must Our Impact: Support operations by providing a resilient, highly available, and performing platform resulting in exceeding established metrics, customer requirements and financial objectives Partner with Product and Business team members to ensure high quality product is developed and released into production Work closely with Architecture, Customers, Operations, and Product to specify and document solutions and practices Your Impact: Promote a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps culture to enhance and operate cloud platform offerings to the enterprise while working toward innovation, automation, and operational excellence Participate in design reviews of architecture patterns for service/application deployment in cloud (AWS) Collaborate with platform pillar leads in core platform, container orchestration, monitoring, and databases to build-out the platform Automate for efficiency and reliability and utilize CI/CD tooling as appropriate Participate in platform administration and Operations including troubleshooting of Complex issues within the Cloud environment Participate in On Call support as part of Operations Support Work with Product Owners to understand the desired capability, to define and prioritize work, determine deliverables, and manage workloads Deliver and maintain standard operating procedures and assist in troubleshooting issues Participate in on-call activities as needed for major incident resolution and problem management. Qualifications 8+ years of overall information technology experience with a 2+ year emphasis on integration and delivery of public cloud 4 +years of experience with Kubernetes and Containerization Technologies (Kubernetes, AWS(ECS/EKS) etc) at scale is must 4 +years of experience with AWS core services like EC2, EKS, S3, Lambda, EMR, IAM cloud formation, Terraform, or similar tools 4 +years of experience with DevOps skills Jenkins, Helm, and Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jira and Confluence) Experience with Python, Ansible and shell scripting to automate routine operation tasks. Experience in ETL tools like Snowflake, Dremio, Talend, Attunity is good to have FFIP & DataSync part of AWS Ability to provide 24x7 operational support on periodic basis and triage complex issues to restore availability is must Proactive in nature with customer satisfaction as primary goal is must Keen focus on automation is must DevOps (IAC, CFTs): Developing and deploying CFTs, Infrastructure as Code, serverless etc AWS Cloud Native Development: Developing AWS serverless applications lambda, SNS, SQS, etc AWS Serverless Development Developing AWS serverless applications lambda, SNS, SQS, etc Container and Kubernetes workloads (EKS): Creating ECS or EKS clusters or OCP, managing clusters (upgrades, patches etc) Documentation of Engineering Solutions and Designs Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, persuasively with technology and business partners Excellent collaborator and fantastic teammate Able to deliver and apply risk-based approach to prioritize work Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies, and identify process improvements and efficiencies opportunities Ability to adapt to change while continuing to deliver on assigned objectives Works under minimal supervision.
