Systems Architect IV with Data governance and data management , AWS, Azure, API Exp.

Location: Remote but EST OR CST

Duration: 
- 3-months with possibility of extension

Job Description:

Responsible for designing and implementing information systems which will adequately support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization. Analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will offer security and will be effectively integrated with current applications. Ensures that all systems are working at optimal levels and offers support to application development department regarding new technologies and system requirements. Has thorough knowledge of infrastructure, application programming, and web and software applications. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.

Architecture/Tech Lead

- come in and help drive teams

Teams are starting off with a blank state, but will have a lot of work to do

This person will be involved in helping with tech stack selection; looking through tool, how theyll work in environment, how it aligns with what the team needs to do

Putting plans together to remediate data challenged in sources

Preparing engineering for them to start pulling data into the data model (streaming, API, or any other approach)

Data marketplace is being put together, so they will provide tech leadership on this as well

Not particular on which tools, but they will need experience with some tools and understanding of them

Goal is to have the tool selected this year and implemented Q1 of next year

This role would transfer into a Tech Engineer after implementation, so longer term contract

Top Must Haves

Technical leadership--leading an agile team

Data governance and data management experience

Experience with large scale integrations

Data wrangling and problem solving

AWS or Azure- either is fine, they are an Azure shop, so that may be preferred

Certification/Degree: Ba Computer Science- 
Must have!

Job Description:

Solution Design and Development:
 Create comprehensive architecture blueprints for solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements. Ensure designs are scalable, maintainable, and adaptable to future needs.

Review IT solution designs for new or modified solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, policies, and procedures, while incorporating security and compliance considerations (e.g., secure by design, compliant by design).

Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to development teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate architectural decisions, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Standards and Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements. Incorporate best practices for secure and compliant design.

Technology Evaluation: Assess and select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to support solution design and implementation. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Integration Management: Design and oversee the integration of various system components, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow between applications.

6-10 years of experience designing and solutionizing the movement of data

Solutions Architect to leveraging existing mainframe technology

Will work with stakeholders and IT

Understand requirements and choose the best solution based on those requirements/needs to determine how to move data

Multi-platform experience; moving data from mainframe through Datalake, Mulesoft, or Azure

Vendor is TraceOne

Kafka Topics, Secure FTP, and Mulesoft are used in house right now

Retail experience is not necessary

Top Must Haves

Drive issues to the solution--ability to figure out key players and solutions

Quick Learner

Ability to work and communicate with cross functional teams (QA, Solutions, etc.)

Ability to navigate a sometimes-complex working environment to drive out answers and decisions

Experience at least 10 years

Industry knowledge and experience are preferred over a Bachelor's degree
