The candidate must be a current Wisconsin resident DETAILS The senior role is responsible for supporting the analysis and documentation of asset inventories for existing software and systems, emphasizing existing mainframe-based applications. This role will assist with system transformation efforts, ensuring that business processes are correctly mapped to supporting system assets, applications, data sets, interfaces, batch processes, and reports. When inventories are identified, this role will work with subject matter experts, SMEs, and the business and technology teams to document links between the assets and business processes. Additionally, this role may be asked to work with SMEs to document important metadata associated with the assets that will streamline system transformation from existing mainframe-based systems to a web-based system. Good oral and written communication skills are required. This position currently offers the option to work up to 100% remotely; this could change to 100% in-houseOn-site at Madison Yards Way, 4822 Madison Yards Way, Madison, Wisconsin. Required Skills: 10+ years of experience in business systems analysis. 10+ years of experience documenting complex business and software systems. Technical Writing Architectural Diagrams Process Diagramming (Visio, etc.) CE Access Tool Mainframe Development Web Service Development (SOAP/REST) Nice to Have Skills: CA-GEN COBOL JCL TSO ISPF Visio CICS Interview Process: Teams interview with camera on. Additional Details: The project is scheduled through June 2027, but the initial contract ends on 06/30/2025, with extensions likely. Government experience is not required, and practical experience is more important than academic experience. The mandatory skill set includes service bus middleware, event-driven applications on a Microsoft platform, preferably Azure-based.
