[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Details: Remote Role : Splunk Architect- Active IRS MBI-W2 only Long Term We do have major needs for the Internal Revenue Service again. They must have an active IRS MBI clearance (meaning they must have been on an IRS assignment within the past 23 months). If they are on a current assignment for the IRS and they are in possession of an IRS issued laptop and badge they would be highly preferred . Location remote. Candidates will have to be on W2. Design and Implementation: Architect and deploy Splunk environments tailored to meet business needs. This includes configuring and managing indexers, search heads, and forwarders. Data Integration: Develop and maintain data inputs from various sources, including log files, databases, and network devices. Dashboard and Reporting: Create and maintain custom dashboards, reports, and alerts to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of Splunk infrastructure to ensure reliability and efficiency. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Splunk installations, queries, and data ingestion. Security Monitoring: Implement and configure security monitoring and alerting solutions within Splunk to enhance organizational security posture. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and operations teams to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration of Splunk solutions. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Proven experience as a Splunk Engineer or in a similar role. Experience with large-scale Splunk deployments is highly desirable. Skills: Deep knowledge of Splunk components and architecture. Proficiency in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and advanced data query techniques. Experience with data inputs, log management, and parsing. Familiarity with IT operations and security monitoring concepts. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to create and manage Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports. Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell is a plus. Certifications: Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Core Certified Admin) are a plus.
