You will lead a team of SRE engineers, collaborating closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain robust systems that support our business objectives. Key Responsibilities: SRE Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team of SRE engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality work. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the team. Infrastructure Design and Architecture: Collaborate with architects and engineers to design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure. Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards for cloud infrastructure design and management. Incident Management and Response: Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with relevant teams to identify root causes, implement solutions, and prevent future occurrences. Develop and maintain effective incident management processes and procedures. Automation and DevOps Practices: Drive the adoption of automation and DevOps practices to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance reliability. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms to detect and address issues before they impact service availability. Capacity Planning and Cost Optimization: Forecast capacity requirements and optimize resource utilization to ensure cost-effective operations. Implement strategies to reduce cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong technical expertise: Deep understanding of AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS) and their best practices. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). SRE principles and practices: Experience with SRE concepts, including site reliability engineering, incident response, and capacity planning. Understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools. Leadership and communication skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Problem-solving and analytical skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
