| Direct client position Position: Java Database Developer Duration: 11 Months Location: Remote Client: State of Texas Department: HHSC DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 1 Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 , hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Developer/Programmer Analyst 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission . All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Health and Human Services Commission will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s). We are seeking a Java Database Developer - Level III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining database-driven Java applications, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency. This role involves collaboration across teams, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-performance solutions. II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Required Experience 8 years Hands-on Strong experience in Java development, including extensive experience with J2EE, Servlet and related technologies. 8 years Hands-on Strong experience in building and consuming Web Services (SOAP/REST). 8 years Hands-on Strong development experience in implementing applications utilizing any J2EE Application Server, Java security authentication and authorization of service and user accounts 8 years Hands-on Proficient in using Servlets, Spring and Spring Batch for web application development. 8 years Hands-on experience with CI/CD, GitLab, Maven & Jenkins. 8 years Hands-on Experience in Full Stack Development and working with front-end technologies such as JavaScript and JSF and Prime Faces 7.0. 8 years Hands-on Experience in design and development of XSD and schematron data validation rules 8 years Hands-on Experience in at least one application server configurations (WildFly, Tomcat or WebLogic) 8 years Expert level understanding of Mongo DB and Postgres databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, aggregate operations and performance tuning. 8 years experience in designing & optimizing database queries and procedures in Postgres and Mongo DB 8 years experience in ad hoc data analysis and reporting. Preferred Experience 8 years Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 8 years Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment 2 years Familiarity with Azure App Services & Cloud Services.
