From: Minu, infotechspectrum [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Role:- Palo Alto Network Engineer Location:- Remote (USC, GC, H4 EAD Only) Job Description; seeking a skilled Palo Alto Firewall Engineer to manage the configuration, operation, and maintenance of over 20 carrier grade network firewalls for a national telecommunications company over a period of 3 to 12 months. The ideal candidate will be US based (Remote work is acceptable) and have extensive experience in firewall traffic analysis, policy rules creation, and change management controls. Additionally, the candidate will provide consultative advice on security principles, assist in project planning, participate in relevant working group meetings, and maintain standard operating procedures. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Design and document Palo Alto configurations to meet organizational requirements. Develop Palo Alto firewall rules use cases and perform rule analysis, implementation, and optimization. Offer consultative advice on security principles and best practices related to Palo Alto operations. Assist in the creation and maintenance of Palo Alto related project plans. Participate in working group meetings. Develop and brief Palo Alto project/tasking status reports. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures. Work with Cybersecurity and other IT support teams as needed in support of Palo Alto aspects of incident response. Work with the team to design and implement role-based access control (RBAC) across various Palo Alto devices. Education & Experience Bachelors degree (preferred). Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience. Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role. Familiarity with different security attack vectors and protection measures. Extensive experience with data center grade Palo Alto Firewall Hardware, PAN-OS and associated features such as Panorama, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, VPN, Global Protect, High Availability, Wildfire, DNS Security, and Advanced Threat Prevention. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and coordinate multiple assignments. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. Ability to work independently to resolve complex issues. Certifications At least one of relevant industry certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA), Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), or other relevant Palo Alto certifications.
