Role: Cloud DevOps Engineer Location: New York, NY requires 2 x days onsite Duration: 12-months plus C2H Visa: GC/USC/H4EAD/GCEAD Local candidate who belongs to NEW YORK Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our automation and infrastructure-as-code focused team. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly motivated to deliver best-in-class solutions with a long-term mindset and an eye for technical detail across a variety of projects and platforms. Responsibilities will span all aspects of the public cloud (currently AWS), as well as our private cloud environments and supporting technology stacks. The team provides follow-the-sun coverage during the week, supplemented by a weekend on-call rota. This is a hybrid working role, with a typical three days per week in the office. Responsibilities: Build automated services and infrastructure provisioning and delivery in AWS strictly with IAC Design multi-az/multi-region architecture for compute and storage to enable high availability and performant delivery Establish CI/CD pipelines for fast-delivery and high-availability Create monitoring capabilities for availability, performance and optimization (cost and resourcing) Collaborate with cloud developers, infrastructure teams and vendors on best practices, design, and implementation Troubleshoot issues related to the cloud components Required Experience: Expert in CI/CD stack (Gitlab) and IaCsolutions (Packer, Salt stack, Terraform) Experience with AWS native compute services including AWS Batch, Glue, Far gate, Kubernetes, Lambda, etc. Design experience per AWS Well Architected Framework principles and knowledge of component limitations Strong development skills(python/java/Scala) and data skills (sql) Working knowledge of loggings and monitoring tools (Cloud Watch, ELK, Data Dog, etc.) Experience working with global development teams, vendors and infra/security professionals Preferred Experience: Knowledge of security controls and/or security tooling for the public cloud Experience with any of: Consul, ELK, Kafka, Nexus, Prometheus/Grafana, Rsyslog, Splunk, Vagrant, Vault Experience with alternate cloud providers (Azure, GCP) AWS certification (DevOps, SysOps,Solutions Architect) Best Regards, Prajojita Biswal Technical Recruiter, Vyze Inc.
