Position _Data Engineer Duration _ six month Plus Remote JOB DESCRIPTION Contractor Experience Needed: 5-8 or more years of developer/data engineering experience is required. Experience working with financial systems in Insurance or related industry, strongly desired. Demonstrable, strong experience developing databases, procedures, views, functions, etc. in MS SQL Server. Demonstrable, strong experience developing ETL packages with MS SSIS. Experience working with code repositories for version control for database objects and SSIS packages. Experience with Azure DevOps or a similar platform that supports software development lifecycle. Experience with setting up repositories, policies and configuration of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Experience with extracting data from various sources, including databases, CRM or ERP systems, flat files, web services, etc. Experience with migration of SQL on-prem/VM-based databases to Azure SQL instances. Experience with Azure Data Factory development and Snowflake a strong plus. Strong Agile/SCRUM development practices are a must.
