Job Title - SQL DBA & Developer Location - Irving, TX USC/GC/GC-EAD Duration 6+ Months Note - USC/GC, need LinkedIn, VISA DL. Job Description: Need a brief summary from the candidates having required exp. Want someone who has been a DBA for at least 6 years and a developer for 5 years focused on US based experience as we have found that experience/skillsets in other countries do not translate the same business needs. Please look for at minimum 6+ years US based business/employment. Role was filled 4 months ago who did ok and they liked him but as the position evolved they realized his cloud (Azure) and dev skills outside of doing regular SQL queries was not very strong. Worked with him for 2 months to better his understanding but as their sprints got more intense it was clear he couldnt keep up. They mutually agreed it was time to go in a different direction. Need a developer more than an administrator; need heavy data modeling, building a new warehouse and need to support the current application. Much rather someone with SQL Server and Azure skills (TOP FOCUS) Lots of Legacy systems, one systems has never been upgraded in multiple years, other systems are Azure and those are up to date. Need someone who can recommend best way to build. Doesnt matter their background environment the skills are more important. Industries we have is Finance/Insurance, Automotive but again not super important here. This is on-site 5 days in Irving (crunch time right now in about a year can do hybrid but lots of work to get done in short time, need onsite) Contract-to-hire needs to be GC or USC or EAD Interview Process: once pass the assessment, the 1st round interview will be with Data Director (Teams), Final interview with CFO (Teams or in-person) This role will be as a member with the Data and Analytics team -the SQL Database Developer role will contribute to the success in both the daily operations and long-term strategy of the organizations data assets. Job Responsibilities: Manages on-premises and cloud databases built with SQL Server and Azure SQL services. Implementing and managing the operational aspects of cloud-native and on-premise data platform solutions built on SQL Server and Azure SQL services. Data systems architecture and modeling, designing, and development building databases and validating their stability and efficiency Creating program views, functions, and stored procedures writing optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications Designing database tables and dictionaries, developing scripts, procedures, and triggers for application development Maintaining data quality and backups and overseeing database security Qualifications/Skills: Excellent prioritization skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills Process oriented with great documentation skills Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service Education/Experience: BS degree in Computer Science or a related field 2+ years of development experience using Azure SQL DB, SQL Server 2+ years of experience supporting MySQL / MariaDB 2+ years of database architecture and dimensional data modeling Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience in design and development of data systems (SQL Server based on Cloud/on premise and Analytics) 1+ year experience in building and supporting transactional systems and analytics systems (including data modeling) 1+ years assisting in Master Data Management efforts, including metadata management Database migrations to Azure Cloud Nice to have: Experience in automotive repair and/or insurance industries Cloud certification on any platform a plus Keywords: access management database information technology golang green card Texas SQL DBA Developer -- Irving, TX USC or GC or GC-EAD [email protected] |
