This role is crucial in advancing our vision of monitoring as code and ensuring seamless integration with our current tools and platforms. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with internal and external teams to enhance our monitoring infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Automate the creation and deployment of monitoring and observability configurations using JSON. Centralize configurations in GitHub, peer review commits, and utilize GitHub Actions for deployment. Integrate with ServiceNOW to automate pipeline tasks triggered by requests. Work primarily with AppDynamics, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage. Automate Ansible playbooks and Jenkins jobs for efficient workflow management. Partner with various teams to implement and enhance monitoring as code. Automate the installation of machine, application agents, and database monitoring within AppDynamics. Develop custom extensions for synthetic monitoring, URL monitoring, and other augmentations. Write and maintain scripts in Python, Shell, and PowerShell to support automation tasks. Required Skills Proficiency in JSON for configuration and payload creation. Experience with GitHub for version control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD. Familiarity with ServiceNOW for request management and automation. Strong knowledge of AppDynamics, Prometheus, and Grafana. Expertise in automating tasks using Ansible playbooks and Jenkins jobs. Ability to develop custom monitoring extensions. Advanced scripting skills in Python, Shell, and PowerShell. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously from start to finish. Professional Experience Proven experience in automating monitoring and observability processes. Hands-on experience with AppDynamics, Prometheus, and Grafana. Demonstrated ability to work with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and ServiceNOW. Prior experience automating Ansible playbooks and Jenkins jobs. History of collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve technical objectives.
