The candidate must be a current Wisconsin resident or re-locate to Wisconsin at their cost at the start of the engagement (remaining in Wisconsin for the Duration of the Contract). This position currently offers the option to work up to 100% remote, this could change to 100% in house. DETAILS: Business Analyst/Consultant capabilities with ten or more years of experience. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reviews, analyses, and evaluates business systems and business process needs. This senior role is responsible for supporting the analysis and documentation of asset inventories for existing software and systems, emphasizing existing web applications. This role will assist with system transformation efforts, ensuring that business processes are correctly mapped to supporting system assets, applications, data sets, interfaces, batch processes, and reports. When inventories are identified, this role will work with subject matter experts, SMEs, and the business and technology teams to document links between the assets and business processes. Additionally, this role may be asked to work with SMEs to document necessary metadata associated with the assets to streamline system transformation from existing mainframe-based systems to a web-based system. Good oral and written communication skills are required. This position currently offers the option to work up to 100% remotely; this could change to 100% in-house. Required Skills: 10+ years of experience in business systems analysis. 10+ years of experience documenting complex business and software systems. Technical Writing. Architectural Diagrams. Process Diagramming. Java or .NET Development. Web Service Development (SOAP/REST). Nice to Have Skills: WebSphere. GIT. Visio. Demonstrated experience communicating between business and technical teams. Familiarity with source code repository tools. GIT experience. Interview Process: Teams interview with camera on. Additional Details: The project is scheduled through June 2027, but the initial contract ends on 06/30/2025, with extensions likely. Government experience is not required, and practical experience is more important than academic experience. The mandatory skill set includes service bus middleware, event-driven applications on a Microsoft platform, preferably Azure-based.
