You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Snowflake platform, including database creation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Database Administration: Create, manage, and maintain Snowflake databases, warehouses, and roles. Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures. Monitor database performance and identify optimization opportunities. Perform regular database backups and recoveries. Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data. Manage user access controls and privileges. Monitor for security threats and respond to incidents promptly. Performance Optimization: Analyze database performance and identify bottlenecks. Tune database configurations to improve query performance. Implement indexing strategies and data partitioning techniques. Data Loading and Migration: Develop and execute data loading and migration strategies. Ensure data integrity and accuracy during the migration process. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and errors. Provide technical support to data analysts and engineers. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architecture, procedures, and standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a database administrator, preferably with Snowflake. Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts. Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes. Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills Certification in Snowflake or related technologies. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Knowledge of data modeling and data governance best practices.
