From: Barla Santosh, Gacsol [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: GCP Cloud Security Architect Location: NYC NEW YORK Remote As a GCP Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure cloud solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design architectures, and provide technical leadership in cloud infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, with expertise in GCP technologies and architectures. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement cloud architectures and solutions on the Google Cloud Platform to meet business requirements and objectives. Develop and maintain cloud migration strategies, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and cloud-native development approaches. Configure and optimize GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub to ensure performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Implement security best practices and compliance controls in GCP environments, including identity and access management, network security, encryption, and data protection. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management tasks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automate deployment workflows on GCP. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members and stakeholders on GCP best practices, architectures, and technologies. Stay updated on latest trends and developments in cloud computing, including GCP services, features, and pricing changes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. [12-14 years] of experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform. Google Cloud certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Architect or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer or CKA or other clouds. Strong understanding of containerization, microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines and GitOps pipeline. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and CICD tools such as Terraform, Ansible, HelmChart Solid understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in a cloud environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and best practices. Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub. Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks, such as CIS benchmarks, SOC 2, or GDPR. Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Knowledge of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures and solutions. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native development patterns. Experience with data engineering and analytics solutions on GCP, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
