| Title: Data Engineer Location: Chicago IL , Austin TX (Remote) Must have Recent Payment Industry client VISA :No Sponsorship Skill: AWS, GCP, ETL, Python, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS Data engineers should be able to: assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements, identify, design and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes, build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies, build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition, work with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues, work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues. Data Engineer skills and qualifications: Ability to build and optimize data sets, 'big data' data pipelines and architectures Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions Excellent analytic skills associated with working on unstructured datasets Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata. 6+ years of experience in designing and writing understandable, testable, and easy-to-maintain software (Python). Building and maintaining data systems and pipelines, including databases and data warehouses. Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data. Ensuring compliance with data governance and security policies. Proficiency in cloud services and platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform. Understanding infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) models. Expertise in cloud storage solutions, computing resources, and networking capabilities. Data Integration and ETL Processes.
