ServiceNow SOMT ( Sales and Order Management for Telecommunications ) Developer Ridgeland, MS / Nashville, TN / Birmingham, AL / Remote Contract to Hire W2 / C2C Job Overview: Client is seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow SOMT (Sales and Order Management for Telecommunications) Developer with over 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Catalog Modeling, Workflow development, Jeopardy Management, and OLA/SLA configuration within the telecommunications industry. This role is vital for designing, developing, and optimizing the sales and order management processes, ensuring operational efficiency, and enhancing the customer experience. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, specifically within the telecommunications sector. Strong expertise in Catalog Modeling, Workflow development, Jeopardy Management, and OLA/SLA configuration. In-depth understanding of telecommunications sales and order management processes. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders and teams. Proficient in writing and debugging JavaScript for Business Rules, Script Includes, and Client Scripts. Experienced in managing and maintaining Update Sets following best practices for the development lifecycle. Strong knowledge of CSDM concepts that support SOMT Catalog design. Preferred Qualifications: ServiceNow certification(s) in ServiceNow Application Developer or relevant specializations. Experience with the Field Services Management module. Familiarity with other ServiceNow modules, such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Experience with agile development methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow SOMT solutions tailored for sales and order management within the telecommunications sector. Implement and manage Catalog Modeling and Workflows to streamline processes for telecommunications services. Lead the development of Jeopardy Management modules to proactively identify, track, and mitigate order fulfillment risks. Configure and maintain Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to uphold high service delivery standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design APIs and integrated solutions, supporting business processes related to order management from tertiary systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure system stability and optimal performance. Stay updated with ServiceNow upgrades, new features, and industry best practices to continuously enhance system functionality. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers as required.
