Network Subject Matter Expert ( SME ) NYC / NJ Only Contract to Hire W2 / C2C Job Description: We are seeking a Network SME with robust expertise in Switching and Routing (L2) and experience with Palo Alto Secure Access Service Edge (SASE). This role is critical in bridging networking and security in a cloud-based platform. Key Responsibilities: Advanced Troubleshooting: Address network-related issues escalated to the L2 team, including SD WAN support. Proficient with Cisco Routers, Console Servers, Switches, Wireless Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers, and VPN. Change Deployment: Participate in approved change deployment such as upgrades and patch management. Vendor Liaison: Collaborate with third-party vendors, OEMs, ISPs, and hands & feet vendors. Firewall Management: Conduct advanced troubleshooting of Palo Alto firewall issues and verify configurations against policies. Connectivity Issue Resolution: Identify connectivity issues reported by software developers through Terraform logs and network configurations. Collaborative Troubleshooting: Work with developers to resolve issues that may involve reconfiguring settings or addressing code-related problems, liaising with NOC/SOC teams. Requirements: Location: Must be based in NYC/NJ. Experience: Strong background in L2 switching and routing, and Palo Alto SASE.
