Job Title: Senior Data Analyst (Property & Casualty) Experience: 13+ Years #Remote (Need locals to NY/TX) Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Analyst with deep expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance. This role is fully remote, offering flexibility while demanding a strong background in data analysis, insurance, and advanced analytics. You will work closely with business stakeholders to drive data-driven insights, support decision-making, and optimize insurance-related processes. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze large datasets from various sources related to Property & Casualty insurance, including claims, underwriting, pricing, and policyholder data. Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to track performance metrics, risk assessments, and profitability. Perform predictive and statistical modeling to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations that impact insurance operations. Business Insights: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., underwriting, claims, actuarial, finance) to provide data-driven insights that enhance business performance and strategy. Identify opportunities for process optimization, risk reduction, and improved pricing strategies through advanced data analytics. Data Management & Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by developing and enforcing data governance and quality control measures. Lead data cleansing, transformation, and validation processes to support analytical models and business objectives. Advanced Analytics: Utilize machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics to assess risk factors, predict claims outcomes, and optimize pricing models for Property & Casualty insurance products. Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and ad-hoc investigations to answer specific business questions and provide actionable recommendations. Stakeholder Communication: Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and key business units in a clear and actionable manner. Translate complex data insights into business terms and assist in decision-making processes. Tool & Technology Utilization: Work with tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, and advanced Excel to analyze data and generate visualizations. Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data lakes to access, store, and process large datasets efficiently. Required Skills & Experience: 13+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the Property & Casualty insurance sector. In-depth knowledge of insurance data structures (claims, policies, underwriting, pricing) and experience working with actuarial or risk management teams. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and advanced Excel. Expertise in data visualization using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analysis in an insurance context. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex datasets and derive actionable insights. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with data governance, quality assurance, and ensuring data accuracy and reliability. Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data warehousing.
