Job Description: Title: Azure Data Factory Specialist Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid-3 days onsite) Duration: Long Term Contract Exp.: 10+ years Client: UPS Rate: $53/hr. on C2C Job Description About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Factory Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and managing data pipelines within our Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and Azure data services. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources to target data stores. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architects to understand data requirements and define efficient data pipelines. Optimize pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure data integrity and timely delivery. Implement data quality checks and validation rules to maintain data accuracy. Utilize Azure Data Factory's built-in activities and custom code to create complex data transformations. Automate data pipeline scheduling and monitoring for efficient operations. Stay updated on the latest Azure Data Factory features and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., T-SQL, PowerShell). Knowledge of Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage). Experience with data integration tools and technologies (e.g., SSIS, Informatica). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bonus Points: Certification in Azure Data Factory or Azure Data Engineering. Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Databricks. Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks.
