| From: Roshan, Triwavesolutions [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Support Services: IT Systems Engineer 2.1 General Background The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) is a small, nonpartisan Legislative Branch agency that provides independent, objective economic and budgetary analysis to the Congress to aid in policy decisions. The agency employs approximately 275 employees, the majority of whom are professional staff working in the areas of economic analysis and public policy. 2.2 Scope of Work CBOs Information Resources Management and Technical Services Unit (IRM&TS) requires a Contractor to provide IT Systems Engineer support services on a part-time basis. 2.2.1 Systems Engineer Tasks The Contractor employee shall perform the tasks listed below consistent with instructions and guidance provided by the Contracting Officers Representative and by providing advice, opinions, recommendations, or ideas to CBO employees. Assist in setup and configuration of Hyper-V on systems to replace VMware Transfer of virtual machines from VMware to Hyper-V Setup and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers in Hyper-V and AWS Patching workstations and servers using Ivanti Security Controls Troubleshoot and manage upgrades for R, VSCode, and Python installations on Windows desktops with roaming profiles Security group cleanup Disk space cleanup on desktop systems Disk size expansion in AWS for workstations Consolidation of group policy projects may be assigned as longer-term projects Cleanup tasks in AD and AWS systems may be assigned as time permits Perform other related duties Experience & Education Requirements The Contractor staff performing this work under this contract must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Must have experience with Hyper-V, Veeam, and setup of Windows and Linux servers in AWS On Hyper-V, must have experience with AWS and Windows patching at a minimum Skill with R, Python and VSCode installations on Windows, active directory and group policy, and Windows file services and security ACLs Keywords: active directory rlang information technology Support Services: IT Systems Engineer - State of DC - Onsite [email protected] |
