CANDIDATE MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN LAPTOP WITH THESE SPECS: Mac Book running M1 or newer Role- Senior Android Developer Location- Fort Worth-Texas Visa- No H1B, OPT, CPT Description: Our Client's mobile software engineers work with other team members to produce customer facing mobile applications that provide a superior user experience and support key business objectives. Developers participate in all aspects of application development including design, development and delivery using an Agile process. Responsibilities: Create awesome experiences for millions of customers Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product owners to bring customer focused features to life Write quality code that is efficient, maintainable and will scale across teams Own your code from conception to production Work with customer support and product owners to pivot on features and address reported bugs Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or equivalent 5+ years of Android development experience with knowledge of API design, best practices, and UX guidelines. Proficiency and demonstrated experience in the following technologies: Kotlin, Java programming, Jetpack compose and debugging skills. Build/deployment tools: Android Studio, Gradle, Git Other DevOps Toolchain: Slack, Gradle, GitHub actions Multi-threading and REST based JSON APIs Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups Demonstrates great communication skills and initiative to solve problems and convey solutions to peers and product owners Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in commercial software History of publishing native mobile apps Knowledge of UI testing and continuous integration Additional Details Glider Assessment Required : No Glider Assessment Name (If Applicable) (drop down) : N/A Does Contractor Need Their Own Laptop : Yes Laptop Specs : Mac Book running M1 or newer This will be a year long contract that does not have the opportunity to convert so the manager is open to visa candidates. There will be 2 round of interviews. The first round is virtual, the second round will be in person at SV7. IV PROCESS ROUND 2 IS ONSITE AT SV7: Candidates must join the TEAMS Interview using a computer (not their phone) because theyll need to have their IDE setup and ready to go so they can share their screen for the coding problems. INTERNAL INTERVIEWS: Internal IV Recording: When you do the Internal Recorded Interview Tell candidates that the client will see the recording They should act as if your screening call is an interview with the client. Tell Candidates interviews will be onsite (even though theyre remote). If they are not currently located near the client site, tell them the client has an office 5 minutes from their home. Get their buy-in for in-person IVs even though theyll actually be remote.
